Chicken Soup Curry (King brand)
About the Product
Soup curry is one of Hokkaido’s iconic dishes; one that many foreign visitors have never heard of. Within Japan, it is currently one of the hottest (pun intended) foods associated with Hokkaido, and soup curry restaurants are now popping up nationwide.
Soup Curry King is a local Sapporo soup curry restaurant with multiple branches around the city. Their broth is a slow-boiled perfection of pork & chicken bones along with Japanese dashi - composed of kelp, dried sardines & bonito flakes - for the ultimate umami flavors.
This ready-to-eat Chicken Soup Curry - with chicken included - only needs to be heated up in the specially-made pouch, either by submerging the pouch in boiling water (recommended) or warming it in the microwave. Other toppings such as vegetables or soft-boiled eggs can be added separately.
For those who prefer their curry spicy, just add your favorite hot spice to taste. For coconut-flavor lovers, simply add coconut cream or milk directly.
This easy-to-prepare soup curry is perfect for nature trips, or quick dinners at home and in the office. Ittadakimasu!
about the producer
Soup Curry King first opened its doors in the Toyohira district of Sapporo in September 2007, quickly distinguishing itself for the quality of its soup broth. The rich and distinctive broth - made from pork & chicken bones, along with Japanese dashi - was produced after much trial and error, being refined again and again until finally the “perfect” broth was achieved. This broth was dubbed “W soup”, and became the basis of the brand’s identity. Offering a variety of soup toppings including fried Hokkaido vegetables, chicken, lamb, seafood, cheese and more, Soup Curry King has continued to grow in popularity and now boasts multiple branches within Sapporo. Eat-in diners can enjoy the simple, clean and modern restaurant aesthetics, while the newly released “box” soup curry options can be savored anywhere, anytime. ingredients
